The Zscaler Zero Trust Exchange platform protects thousands of customers from cyberattacks and data loss by securely connecting users, devices, and applications in any location. Driven by deep customer obsession, we are committed to the mission, outcome, and to each other. We bring these commitments to life through three core behaviors: ownership and collaboration, trust through outcomes and impact, and a challenge culture with ongoing feedback. Ready to make an impact at the company pioneering security transformation in the AI era? Join us at Zscaler.

Role

We are looking for a Senior Partner Engineer to join our team, reporting to the Senior Director, Solutions Consulting in the APJ Partner Engineering department. As part of our team in South Korea, you will work with distributors, resellers, system integrators, service providers, and strategic tech alliance partners to develop their technical capabilities across Zscaler's Zero Trust and AI security platform. Your mission is to help partners become increasingly capable of independently positioning, designing, demonstrating, and validating Zscaler solutions, ultimately driving partner-led growth and enterprise AI security adoption across the region.

What you’ll do (Role Expectations)

  • Build partner technical capability: Develop trusted relationships with partner engineers and technical leaders, assess their capabilities, and deliver targeted enablement through workshops, hands-on labs, architecture sessions, demonstrations, certifications, and technical coaching

  • Develop partners through real opportunities: Work alongside partner engineers on customer engagements, coaching them through discovery, solution positioning, architecture, demonstrations, workshops, and proof-of-value activities to progress from Zscaler-assisted to partner-led engagements

  • Drive partner-led growth: Work closely with Channel, Sales, and Solutions Engineering to align technical investment with strategic partners, build repeatable technical propositions, and connect enablement to measurable business outcomes

  • Lead technical conversations: Act as a trusted technical advisor across Zero Trust, SSE/SASE, cloud and data security, identity, and AI Security to secure enterprise AI adoption

  • Represent the partner voice: Capture technical feedback, competitive insights, and emerging customer requirements from the Korean market and connect them with APJ and global Zscaler teams

Who You Are (Success Profile)

  • You thrive in ambiguity. You're comfortable building the path as you walk it. You thrive in a dynamic environment, seeing ambiguity not as a hindrance, but as the raw material to build something meaningful.

  • You act like an owner. Your passion for the mission fuels your bias for action. You operate with integrity because you genuinely care about the outcome. True ownership involves leveraging dynamic range: the ability to navigate seamlessly between high-level strategy and hands-on execution.

  • You are a problem-solver. You love running towards the challenges because you are laser-focused on finding the solution, knowing that solving the hard problems delivers the biggest impact.

  • You are a high-trust collaborator. You are ambitious for the team, not just yourself. You embrace our challenge culture by giving and receiving ongoing feedback—knowing that candor delivered with clarity and respect is the truest form of teamwork and the fastest way to earn trust.

  • You are a learner. You have a true growth mindset and are obsessed with your own development, actively seeking feedback to become a better partner and a stronger teammate. You love what you do and you do it with purpose.

What We’re Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)

  • Foundational understanding of AI/ML technologies and experience leveraging, securing, or positioning AI-driven solutions to optimize outcomes within your functional domain

  • Strong experience in cybersecurity, networking, cloud security, or enterprise infrastructure, ideally in presales, solutions engineering, consulting, or a technical partner role

  • Proven experience working with distributors, resellers, system integrators, MSSPs, service providers, or technology alliance partners

  • Deep understanding of modern security architectures, including Zero Trust, SSE/SASE, cloud security, data protection, and identity security

  • Hands-on technical capability with solution architecture, demonstrations, workshops, and proof-of-value engagements, combined with native Korean fluency and strong business English

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Proven track record of enabling partner technical teams to architect, deploy, and secure complex enterprise AI workloads, GenAI applications, and LLM integrations within zero-trust frameworks

  • Experience building technical capabilities within the Korean partner ecosystem, developing partner-delivered services, or driving partner-led customer engagements

  • Familiarity with major cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud and how modern applications and AI workloads are deployed in enterprise environments

About this role

Zscaler is seeking a Senior Partner Engineer to build technical capabilities across its partner ecosystem in South Korea, working remotely within the APJ region. You'll develop relationships with distributors, resellers, system integrators, and technology partners, helping them independently design, demonstrate, and deploy Zscaler's Zero Trust and AI security platform. The role bridges enablement and business outcomes—you'll run workshops, hands-on labs, and architecture sessions with partner engineers, coach them through customer engagements, and progressively shift work from Zscaler-assisted to partner-led delivery.

Success in this position requires both technical depth and entrepreneurial mindset. You need foundational knowledge of AI/ML technologies and strong experience in cybersecurity, networking, or cloud security—ideally from presales, solutions engineering, or technical partner roles. You'll act as a trusted advisor on Zero Trust, SASE, cloud security, and identity, while capturing market feedback from Korean partners and connecting it back to Zscaler's global teams. The role demands hands-on capability with solution architecture and proof-of-value work, paired with native Korean fluency and strong business English.

This is best suited for someone comfortable operating in ambiguity, who sees themselves as an owner rather than an executor, and who genuinely enjoys developing others. Experience enabling partners to architect enterprise AI workloads or a track record building technical services within the Korean market would set you apart.
