About this role

Whelen Engineering's Chester facility is hiring a Warehouse Associate to serve as a kit runner—the backbone of their distribution operation. Your primary responsibility is delivering products and materials throughout the warehouse to various company departments, which means you'll be on your feet constantly, potentially walking up to eight miles per shift across the warehouse floor. You'll use RF scanners to pull inventory, operate equipment like WAVE and JLG lifts, and prepare kits for the assembly area, with the possibility of forklift certification down the line.

This is a physically demanding role that requires stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently within a team structure. You'll handle items up to 50 pounds regularly, perform repetitive picking and packing tasks, and maintain accuracy using scales and other counting devices. The job calls for someone who can prioritize shifting demands, communicate clearly with coworkers and supervisors, and take ownership of safety practices on the warehouse floor. Basic computer literacy and the ability to read barcodes and follow established procedures are essential. If you're a self-starter comfortable with high activity levels and hands-on warehouse work, this full-time, in-office position offers steady employment in a structured operational environment.
