About this role

BDO Ireland's Corporate Finance team is seeking an Assistant Manager to join their Limerick office on a hybrid basis. You'll work across the full spectrum of advisory services—M&A transactions, business sales, management buyouts, capital raising, and valuations—gaining direct exposure to Partners and clients while developing financial models, preparing client-facing reports and presentations, and conducting market research. This role offers genuine breadth: you'll move between deal work and strategic advisory assignments, building both technical capability and commercial judgment.

The ideal candidate is a qualified accountant with a strong academic record and ideally some corporate finance background, though this isn't essential if you have the fundamentals. You'll need strong analytical skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to communicate clearly with senior stakeholders. The role rewards those who can work independently, think laterally across multiple priorities, and bring genuine drive and responsibility to client work.

BDO backs development seriously: you'll have access to their Learning & Development programme, professional subscription coverage, and clear progression opportunities within the team. The package includes competitive salary, pension, health schemes, life assurance, and various leave options including an annual leave purchase scheme and the ability to work flexibly from anywhere.
