About this role
DJH is looking for school leavers or recent college graduates ready to launch a career in accounting. You'll join a practice that's invested in developing its people, with a structured path toward becoming a qualified accountant. The role combines hands-on client work—preparing financial statements, calculating tax liabilities, and identifying tax planning opportunities—with dedicated study support for your AAT qualification. You'll be embedded in a team from day one, shadowing experienced colleagues and building client relationships while working through a personalized development plan tailored to your goals.
The ideal candidate has strong academics (minimum grade 5 in GCSEs, grade 6+ in Maths and English, and three A Levels on track), genuine curiosity about people and problem-solving, and the energy to thrive in a fast-paced environment. You should be proactive, eager to learn, and motivated by delivering excellent service. DJH backs this up with fully funded training, flexible hybrid working, competitive salary, generous holiday, and a comprehensive wellbeing package including mental health support and volunteer days.
This is a full-time, in-office role based in Dublin with an August 2027 start date, suited to someone ready to commit to structured professional development and build a long-term career in practice accounting.
