Description
SambaNova is a leader in next-generation AI infrastructure, delivering a full-stack inference platform for customers worldwide. At the core of SambaNova's technology is the RDU (Reconfigurable Dataflow Unit) — a chip built on a dataflow architecture rather than the traditional GPU model. Its decode performance is especially strong for agentic workloads like multi-turn agents, code generation, and long-running applications. RDUs are packaged into SambaRack, rack-scale hardware that lets customers deploy state-of-the-art models with better performance, greater energy efficiency, and faster time to value.

About this role
SambaNova Systems is building next-generation AI infrastructure, and this entry-level technician role supports the physical backbone of that mission—the data centers housing their custom RDU chips and SambaRack systems. You'd be responsible for the hands-on work that keeps these facilities running: unpacking and racking equipment, installing and replacing components, managing cables and networking infrastructure, troubleshooting hardware issues, and coordinating with logistics on server assembly and shipment. The work is detail-oriented and physically demanding, requiring you to lift up to 50 pounds regularly, work across day and night shifts, and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
This role is designed for someone with minimal experience (0–1+ years) who has a high school diploma and foundational knowledge of computer hardware, but brings a genuine learning mindset. You'll need strong communication skills, the ability to follow technical plans precisely, and comfort working both independently and as part of a team. Experience with networking, Linux, or hardware troubleshooting is a plus but not required. The position is full-time, in-office in Santa Clara with potential travel to other data center sites, and offers a base salary of $28–$35 per hour plus comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and wellness programs.
