The Impact You Will Have in This Role

As part of Operational Risk & Resilience (ORR), the Associate Director, Third Party Risk Analytics & Intelligence strengthens DTCC’s second line of defense (2LoD) risk visibility by aggregating, analyzing, and reporting enterprise third-party risk information. The role focuses on transforming vendor-level data into actionable intelligence across risk tolerance monitoring, concentration and systemic risk analysis, emerging risk identification, resilience events, program effectiveness, Board reporting, and regulatory engagement.

Through data-driven insights and enterprise risk aggregation, you will help strengthen DTCC’s Third Party Risk framework, governance reporting, regulatory readiness, and proactive risk management capabilities.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Third Party Risk Analytics & Intelligence
  • Aggregate and analyze third-party risk data to identify material exposures, emerging risks, and cross-vendor trends.
  • Develop actionable, AI-enabled intelligence that supports proactive risk management, early identification of emerging risks, and enterprise decision-making.
  • Assess relationships between third-party risks and broader operational, cyber, technology, and resilience risks.
  • Embed advanced analytics, automation, and AI/ML insights into third-party risk identification, assessment, monitoring, and reporting processes.

Risk Reporting & Dashboard Management

  • Develop and maintain enterprise Third Party Risk dashboards, scorecards, metrics, and executive reporting.
  • Translate complex risk information into clear, meaningful insights for senior leadership and governance committees.
  • Enhance reporting capabilities through automation, data integration, advanced analytics, dashboards, and digital tools that improve transparency, decision-making, and risk reporting.

Risk Monitoring & Concentration Analysis

  • Monitor trends in vendor financial health, cyber events, operational disruptions, performance issues, and program effectiveness.
  • Lead concentration and systemic risk analysis across third-party relationships, services, technologies, and critical dependencies.
  • Identify and escalate material risk themes, emerging concerns, and potential exposure concentrations.
  • Drive the shift from reactive to predictive risk management by identifying control weaknesses, exposure trends, and emerging risk indicators before they materialize into issues.

Risk Appetite, Metrics & Governance Reporting

  • Monitor Third Party Risk appetite, tolerance metrics, KRIs, and KPIs.
  • Assess the effectiveness of risk metrics and recommend enhancements to strengthen risk visibility and early warning capabilities.
  • Prepare executive and Board-level reporting on key exposures, emerging risks, concentration concerns, and risk performance.

Regulatory Support & Continuous Improvement

  • Support regulatory examinations, audits, and governance reviews through accurate, data-driven reporting and analysis.
  • Promote data quality, reporting integrity, and continuous improvement across Third Party Risk analytics and reporting processes.
  • Foster a data-driven risk culture through transparent reporting, actionable insights, and thematic narratives that explain risk drivers, exposure changes, and governance implications.

Qualifications

  • 8-10 years of experience in Third Party Risk Management, Operational Risk, Enterprise Risk Management, Risk Analytics, Business Intelligence, Regulatory Reporting, or related disciplines.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Experience developing executive reporting, dashboards, risk metrics, and analytical frameworks.
  • Proficiency with Power BI, data visualization, analytics, automation, and AI/ML tools to strengthen risk insights and reporting.
  • Strong understanding of third-party risk, operational resilience, concentration risk, and risk governance.
  • Experience within financial services or another highly regulated industry preferred.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to partner with business and technology stakeholders to translate data-driven and AI-enabled risk insights into practical controls, reporting, and operational improvements.

Talents Needed for Success

About this role

DTCC's Operational Risk & Resilience team is looking for an Associate Director to build the analytics backbone of their third-party risk management function. You'd own the full lifecycle of vendor risk intelligence—aggregating data across hundreds of relationships, surfacing emerging exposures and concentration risks, and translating that complexity into dashboards and narratives that drive Board and regulatory conversations. This is a second line of defense role, which means you're working to strengthen DTCC's risk visibility and governance posture rather than managing day-to-day operations.

The work blends traditional risk analysis with modern tools. You'll design and maintain executive dashboards and KRI frameworks, embed automation and AI/ML into risk workflows, and lead the shift from reactive incident response to predictive risk identification. You'll also support regulatory examinations and help DTCC demonstrate control effectiveness to examiners. Success requires fluency in Power BI and analytics platforms, but more importantly, the ability to distill vendor financial health trends, cyber events, and operational disruptions into clear signals that matter to senior leadership.

This role suits someone with 8–10 years in third-party risk, operational risk, or enterprise risk analytics—ideally in financial services or another regulated industry. You need strong executive communication skills, comfort influencing stakeholders with data, and the discipline to drive continuous improvement in reporting and data quality. The position is full-time and based in Tampa, requiring in-office presence.
