About this role
Overstory Health is seeking an Admissions Specialist to serve as the first point of contact for patients entering their partial day treatment and intensive outpatient programs for mental health care. You'll manage the full intake workflow—fielding referrals, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and entering client data into their EHR and revenue cycle management systems. This role combines front desk operations with care coordination, requiring you to maintain accurate records while creating a welcoming experience during a vulnerable time for patients.
The position demands strong customer service skills and comfort working in a fast-paced healthcare environment. You'll need at least one year of sales or receptionist experience in healthcare, or three years in comparable front office or sales work. Proficiency with Google applications and a willingness to learn healthcare-specific software like Slack, Zoom, and electronic health records systems is essential. Beyond intake coordination, you'll support daily clinic operations, track client attendance, connect patients to community services, and maintain a professional front desk presence.
Based in Boston and working full-time from 8:30am to 5pm ET, you'll earn $24–26 per hour with comprehensive benefits including health insurance with no waiting period, disability coverage, a 401(k) match up to 4%, and flexible time off. This is an opportunity to contribute directly to Overstory Health's mission of making compassionate behavioral healthcare more accessible, working alongside clinical professionals in a growing organization.
