About this role

Okta's Auth0 Security Engineering team is building the infrastructure that protects their identity platform at scale. In this senior role, you'd own the design and development of platform security services and controls—architecting microservices, building security data pipelines, and creating custom workflows that process and distribute security signals across their systems. The work spans service development in Python, Node.js, or Golang; designing resilient, maintainable architectures; and maintaining high engineering standards through code review and technical leadership.

You'll need at least five years of production software experience with deep proficiency in one of their core languages, plus solid grounding in cloud-native environments (AWS or Azure), containers, and secure system design. A background in building platform security controls or managing service permissions is essential. A degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field is required. Experience with streaming platforms like Kafka, Infrastructure-as-Code, compliance frameworks, or applying AI/ML to security workflows would strengthen your candidacy.

This is a hybrid role based in Toronto, offering a salary range of $136,000–$187,000 CAD plus equity, bonus, and benefits including health coverage, RRSP matching, and paid leave. It's suited for someone who combines deep engineering chops with a security mindset and wants to work on infrastructure that matters.
