About this role

Freestone Capital Management, an independent wealth management firm with $15 billion in assets under management, is building out its Minneapolis office and seeking a Senior Associate to lead client service operations. This role sits at the intersection of client relationship management and operational excellence—you'd oversee account implementations, handle complex client inquiries independently, manage portfolio-related processes, and mentor junior team members as the department grows. It's a hands-on position that requires both the ability to execute detailed work and the leadership capability to help establish best practices for a new office.

The ideal candidate brings at least three years of financial services client service experience, a Series 65 license (or willingness to obtain one within six months), and demonstrated skill managing multiple concurrent responsibilities with precision. You should be comfortable with confidential information, proficient in Microsoft Office and ideally familiar with Tamarac, Fidelity, or Schwab platforms. Beyond technical competence, this hire needs strong interpersonal skills, a collaborative mindset, and genuine enthusiasm for building client relationships and improving processes.

Compensation ranges from $70,000 to $85,000 based on experience, with discretionary bonuses tied to performance. Benefits include comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) matching, life and disability insurance, parental leave, and 17 vacation days plus 10 holidays and Summer Fridays. The role is full-time and in-office in Minneapolis.
