About this role

Commercial Comm & Electric is seeking a Safety Officer to join their Phoenix-based team and take ownership of workplace safety across their commercial electrical and communications projects. This role sits at the center of the company's operations—you'll develop and implement safety procedures, conduct regular inspections and audits on job sites, train employees on compliance, and investigate incidents. The position requires you to be visible in the field throughout the day, visiting crew workstations to monitor adherence to safety standards and OSHA regulations while identifying ways to prevent injuries and accidents before they happen.

The ideal candidate brings a thorough understanding of health and safety law, holds a minimum OSHA 30 certification, and has strong communication skills to work effectively with field supervisors and crews. You'll need to be comfortable working in varied weather conditions, able to lift 25 pounds and climb ladders safely, and willing to commit to consistent 40-hour weeks with regular site visits. Attention to detail and the ability to spot unsafe situations—whether in confined spaces or standard work environments—are essential to success here.
