About this role
At 42 North Dental's New Haven location, this part-time periodontal assistant role centers on chairside clinical support and patient care coordination. You'll work directly with dentists during procedures—exposing radiographs, assisting at chairside, and educating patients on post-operative care—while also managing sterilization, inventory, and communication between clinical and administrative teams. The position requires travel between multiple locations within the specialty team, so reliable transportation and willingness to move between sites are essential; mileage reimbursement is provided.
The role calls for someone with dental knowledge and terminology, strong communication skills, and a commitment to infection control standards. A CDA credential is preferred but not required, though you'll need any certifications or licensure mandated by Connecticut. This is a good fit if you're organized, detail-oriented about compliance and sterilization protocols, and energized by direct patient interaction in a specialty practice setting. The $35–$38 hourly range reflects part-time work at a practice that emphasizes team collaboration and clinical excellence.
