About this role

You'd be covering a four-state territory in the Great Plains as KEEN's sales lead for the region, tasked with growing profitable revenue through a mix of new account development and deepening relationships with existing partners. The role blends strategic account management with on-the-ground execution—you'll spend roughly half your time traveling to customer sites, collaborating with internal teams on marketing initiatives, and analyzing market dynamics to spot growth opportunities. Success means hitting sales targets while advancing KEEN's brand positioning in the specialty footwear space.

The position calls for someone with two to five years of sales or account management experience, ideally backed by a business or marketing degree, though equivalent experience counts. You'll need strong communication skills across all organizational levels, solid Excel and data management capabilities, and the ability to juggle competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. A valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, clean driving record, and appropriate auto insurance are non-negotiable—this is genuinely a travel-heavy role requiring you to maintain your primary residence in Nebraska or Kansas.

KEEN is an independently owned Portland-based brand with a stated mission around outdoor access and community impact, having donated over $18 million to nonprofits since 2003. The salary range is $149,157 to $172,668, and the role is fully remote provided you're based in the assigned territory. This suits someone who's comfortable with self-directed account management, values-aligned work, and the logistics of regular regional travel.
