Description

About the Role

We are seeking a Robotics Engineer to join our Engineering team and help design, build, and deploy robotic and automated systems that support FF's vehicle production and next-generation mobility products. You will work at the intersection of mechanical design, electrical/controls engineering, and software, developing robotic solutions that improve manufacturing efficiency, quality, and safety.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, prototype, and integrate robotic manipulators, AGVs, end-effectors, and fixtures used in vehicle assembly and testing

- Develop and tune motion control, kinematics, and path-planning algorithms; program industrial robots (FANUC, KUKA, ABB, or similar) and PLC-based automation systems

- Integrate vision systems, force/torque sensors, and other feedback devices for adaptive robotic operations

- Build and run test plans to validate robotic cell performance, cycle time, repeatability, and safety compliance

- Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, industrial engineering, and product design teams

- Maintain technical documentation including design specs, risk assessments, and SOPs

- Identify opportunities to improve throughput, reduce downtime, and increase reliability of existing systems

Basic Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, or related field

- 1-3+ years of hands-on experience designing, programming, or maintaining robotic or automated systems

- Working knowledge of robot kinematics, motion control, and PLC/HMI programming

- Proficiency in Python or C++

- Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar)

- Strong problem-solving skills and comfort working hands-on with hardware

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with ROS/ROS2, robotic simulation tools (Gazebo, RoboDK), or digital twin platforms

- Familiarity with automotive or high-volume manufacturing environments

- Experience with machine vision systems (Cognex, Keyence) for robotic guidance or inspection

- Fluency in English and Chinese is a plus

About this role

AlxCrypto Holdings Inc. is building robotic and automated systems for vehicle production and next-generation mobility, and they need an engineer who can work across mechanical design, controls, and software to make it happen. In this role, you'd design and deploy robotic manipulators, AGVs, and fixtures for assembly and testing; develop motion control algorithms and program industrial robots from FANUC, KUKA, or ABB; and integrate vision and sensor systems to make those robots adaptive and reliable. You'll validate performance through testing, collaborate with manufacturing and product teams, and continuously hunt for ways to improve throughput and reduce downtime.

The position requires a degree in robotics, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field, plus one to three years of hands-on experience with robotic systems or automation. You'll need solid fundamentals in kinematics, motion control, and PLC programming, along with proficiency in Python or C++ and CAD software. This is a full-time, in-office role in Los Angeles suited to someone comfortable troubleshooting hardware problems and working at the intersection of multiple engineering disciplines. Experience with ROS, robotic simulation, machine vision, or automotive manufacturing would strengthen your candidacy, as would fluency in English and Chinese.
