About this role

Burg Children's Dentistry & Orthodontics in Murray is building out its clinical team and looking for an Orthodontic Assistant to work directly with the orthodontist and support their growing patient base of children, teens, and adults. You'll handle the full range of chairside duties—assisting during procedures, preparing treatment rooms and instruments, taking records including X-rays and digital scans, placing and adjusting appliances, and educating patients on care and hygiene. The role demands someone detail-oriented and organized who can keep clinical operations running smoothly while maintaining sterilization protocols and managing the fast-paced flow of a busy practice.

This position suits someone with prior orthodontic or dental assisting experience, though the practice will consider candidates with dental background. Comfort with children and families, strong communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently as part of a team are essential. You'll need to be dependable and energetic—the practice emphasizes creating a positive, comfortable experience for every patient, and that mindset matters as much as technical skill.

The role offers full-time in-office work with medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k), paid holidays, and paid time off. The practice also highlights opportunities for continued learning and cross-training as it grows.
