About this role

Burg Children's Dentistry & Orthodontics in Murray is building out its clinical team and looking for an Orthodontic Assistant to work directly with the orthodontist and support their growing patient base of children, teens, and adults. You'll be hands-on in treatment rooms—assisting during procedures, preparing instruments and materials, taking records like X-rays and digital scans, and helping place and adjust orthodontic appliances. Beyond chairside work, you'll educate patients on care and appliance maintenance, keep treatment areas organized and sterile, and help manage the flow of a busy clinic while responding to patient concerns.

The role suits someone with prior orthodontic or dental assisting experience, though the practice will consider candidates with general dental background. Comfort with X-rays, knowledge of orthodontic terminology and instruments, and experience working with younger patients are valued. More importantly, you need to be reliable, detail-oriented, and genuinely comfortable in a fast-paced team setting where clear communication with patients, families, and staff matters every day.

Burg offers medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k), paid holidays, and paid time off. The practice emphasizes professional development and positions itself as child-centered and focused on patient comfort, which shapes the day-to-day environment you'd be working in.
