  • We are built on integrity - no shortcuts, no pressure tactics. We win the right way, and we only want people who do the same.
  • The earning potential is real and grows with you - as you build skills and close your first accounts, your income grows right alongside you.
  • You'll get real exposure to the full sales cycle and the SNF/Long-Term Care industry, with support at every step while you learn the ropes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guided Sales Support: Learn and assist with outreach, prospecting, and relationship-building within the SNF and Long-Term Care sectors, working alongside experienced closers.
  • Territory Learning: Help identify potential targets and learn how market expansion strategy comes together in the field.
  • Clinical Value Selling: Learn to articulate the ROI of our physician-led wound care model to administrators and other stakeholders, with training and coaching provided.

  • Team Collaboration: Share field observations, ask questions, and contribute to a team strategy that lifts everyone.

About this role

Skilled Wound Care is hiring a Business Development Associate in Birmingham to support their sales efforts in the skilled nursing facility and long-term care market. This is an entry-level role designed for someone early in their career—no healthcare sales experience required. You'll work alongside experienced closers to learn the full sales cycle, from prospecting and relationship-building to explaining the clinical and financial value of their physician-led wound care model to facility administrators and decision-makers. Expect significant field time, with travel 4–5 days per week.

The role emphasizes hands-on training and mentorship rather than solo performance. You'll receive structured onboarding, ongoing clinical education, and direct coaching from senior sales leaders as you build your own network within the SNF sector and contribute to territory strategy. The company explicitly values integrity and team collaboration over pressure tactics, and they promote from within—many of their top closers started in this same position.

The position offers a $68,000 base salary with bonus potential that grows as you close your first accounts, plus standard benefits including health/dental/vision, 401(k), life insurance, and PTO. You'll need a valid driver's license, a bachelor's degree, and comfort with a demanding travel schedule. This suits someone with 0–2 years of sales or customer service experience who is genuinely interested in healthcare and wants structured support while building a sales career.
