About this role
Burg Children's Dentistry & Orthodontics in Murray is building out its clinical team and needs an Orthodontic Assistant to work chairside with the orthodontist and support the day-to-day operations of their pediatric-focused practice. You'll assist with procedures ranging from examinations and appliance adjustments to X-rays and impressions, while also educating patients and families on care instructions and helping them feel at ease throughout treatment. The role demands someone organized and detail-oriented who can keep treatment rooms running smoothly, manage instruments and materials, and respond calmly to patient concerns in a busy clinical setting.
Prior orthodontic or dental assisting experience is preferred, along with comfort taking X-rays and familiarity with orthodontic terminology and appliances. More importantly, you'll need strong communication skills, the ability to work efficiently alongside a team, and genuine patience with children and teens. The practice values dependability and a compassionate approach to patient care—this isn't a role where you clock in and follow a script, but one where you actively contribute to making orthodontic visits feel welcoming and positive.
The position is full-time and in-office in Murray. Burg offers medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k), paid holidays, and paid time off, plus opportunities for continued learning and cross-training within the practice.
