About commercetools

Real innovation starts with a strong foundation, and at commercetools, that comes from the perfect balance of our product and our people.

Behind every leap forward is a collective of builders, explorers, doers, makers, and problem-solvers.The kind of people who not only pioneered a more flexible approach to commerce architecture but also shaped the culture of experimentation that approach unlocked. Together they are the engine of commerce innovation today.

At commercetools, we power the next era of autonomous commerce for our customers. Whether it’s AI-driven solutions that help enterprises make smarter business decisions, bridging digital and physical shopping experiences, or enabling entirely new ways for industries to connect with their customers, we help the world’s most ambitious companies experiment, scale, and grow without limits.

Here the best idea wins, not the loudest voice. You will have the tools, trust, and space to not only build the future of commerce, but to build your own.

  • Partner with RevOps and Marketing to define, monitor, and optimize global Marketing–BDR SLAs, including funnel velocity, lead scoring models, speed-to-lead benchmarks, and inbound conversion strategies.
  • Own global team metrics against weekly discovery and qualified opportunity targets, providing direct, data-driven reporting to executive leadership.
  • Manage regional BDR teams fostering high-performance leadership standards.

About this role

Commercetools is seeking a hands-on leader to build and scale their global Business Development Representative organization across three continents. Reporting to the CMO, you'll own the strategy, operations, and day-to-day performance of distributed BDR teams while driving predictable enterprise pipeline growth through standardized outbound motions and cross-regional playbooks. This role blends strategic leadership—defining SLAs with RevOps, optimizing funnel metrics, and shaping compensation and career frameworks—with operational execution, including direct involvement in team management, enablement, and tool optimization across platforms like Salesforce, Outreach, and intent data systems.

You'll need at least five years of B2B SaaS business development experience, ideally with proven success leading or managing distributed BDR/SDR teams across multiple regions. Hands-on fluency with modern sales technology and conversion analytics is essential, as is the ability to partner effectively with marketing leadership to translate demand into qualified opportunities. A genuine curiosity about AI and how to apply it to improve team workflows will set you apart. Experience in enterprise eCommerce or composable platforms is a bonus but not required.

The role is full-time, in-office five days a week in Boston or London, with a base salary of $150,000–$185,000. Commercetools offers comprehensive health coverage, annual learning budgets, enhanced parental leave, equity participation, and a family flex program for remote work flexibility.
