About this role

Submer, an AI datacenter infrastructure company, is hiring a Junior Accountant to support financial operations and compliance across their growing organization. This hybrid role in Houston requires someone with 2–3 years of accounting experience who is fluent in both English and Spanish, with particular knowledge of Spanish accounting standards (PGC) and regulatory requirements. You'll handle core accounting tasks—general ledger entries, reconciliations, month-end and year-end closings, accounts payable and receivable—while also taking on compliance and risk management responsibilities that go beyond typical junior accounting work.

Beyond standard accounting duties, you'll review vendor and customer contracts from a financial perspective, monitor data center infrastructure expenses and capital expenditures, and support internal control reviews and audit activities. The role draws on your exposure to risk management, compliance, or legal documentation if you have it, and familiarity with ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite is expected. Background in technology or data center industries is preferred but not required.

This is a contract position suited to someone detail-oriented and organized who can juggle multiple priorities and collaborate across Finance, Legal, and Procurement teams. If you have accounting fundamentals, bilingual capability, and interest in compliance or risk work—and ideally some exposure to the tech sector—this offers a chance to grow with a scaling company in a hybrid environment.
