About this role
StepStone Group is seeking a Vice President to lead operational transformation within its Private Debt platform. This role sits at the intersection of hands-on execution and strategic leadership—you'll develop deep expertise in the platform's processes, systems, and controls while serving as a deputy reviewer, then use that knowledge to drive cross-functional initiatives around automation, standardization, and efficiency. The position demands someone who can balance immediate operational involvement with the bigger picture of scaling the operating model.
The ideal candidate brings 8+ years in investment operations, fund operations, or private markets, with substantial experience in private debt, private credit, or alternative investments. You'll need a track record of leading operational change—redesigning processes, implementing automation, strengthening governance, and building scalable control frameworks. Equally important is hands-on familiarity with transaction lifecycles, capital calls and distributions, fund cash management, and managing operations across multiple legal entities and jurisdictions. A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is required.
This is a full-time, in-office role based in Dublin. It suits someone ready to move beyond individual contributor work into leadership that combines operational rigor with strategic initiative ownership.
