About this role

Pulse Healthcare is recruiting for a remote children's autism assessor to work within an established neurodevelopmental service across the UK. You would conduct comprehensive autism assessments with children and young people, lead diagnostic decision-making, write clinical reports, and provide feedback to families. The role offers flexibility between 28 and 40 hours per week on a permanent contract, suiting clinicians who want specialist assessment work without the constraints of office-based practice.

To succeed, you'll need current HCPC or Social Work England registration, at least 12 months of direct experience in autism or neurodevelopmental assessment, and demonstrated competence with ADOS-2. You should be comfortable producing high-quality clinical reports, managing your own caseload independently, and working within a remote service model. Strong safeguarding knowledge and the ability to work effectively as part of a wider clinical team are essential.

The role suits experienced clinicians seeking focused autism assessment work. You'll have access to regular clinical and management supervision and participate in multidisciplinary case discussions. Prior experience with ADI-R, remote assessment delivery, or knowledge of NICE guidance on autism diagnosis would strengthen your application, though these are not required.
