Description
We’re rethinking homes for how people really live, and we’re looking for a Lead, Art Director to join our Brand and Creative team to help shape the future of living—one thoughtful detail at a time.
Success in this role means owning how Castlery shows up visually across campaigns, content, launches and key brand moments. You’ll lead the visual direction for major initiatives, develop distinctive campaign worlds, and make sure the idea comes through consistently across photography, film, social, digital and retail. You’ll own the concept, the craft, and the systems that let the work scale across products, formats and markets—working closely with Copy, Design, Brand, Marketing, Production and Regional teams to set direction upstream and hold quality through execution.
What you'll be doing:
- Lead visual thinking for seasonal campaigns, collaborations, launches and key brand initiatives, turning business goals and audience insights into strong creative ideas.
- Partner with Copywriters to develop concepts, narratives and visual territories, and define the visual language across photography, video, motion, graphic design and digital content.
- Art direct lifestyle, product and campaign shoots from pre-production through to final asset selection—guiding casting, styling, set design, lighting, composition and colour.
- Partner with photographers, directors, stylists, production teams and external agencies to bring the vision to life, maintaining creative quality through production and post.
- Build visual systems that extend beyond hero assets across landing pages, paid media, social, CRM, retail and OOH, and that scale across products, categories, formats and global markets.
- Introduce promotional messaging and commercial urgency without compromising the brand, adapting creative across the journey from awareness through consideration to conversion.
- Partner with Marketing, Ecommerce, Merchandising, Visual Merchandising and Regional teams, translating stakeholder needs into creative solutions and presenting the rationale to senior stakeholders.
- Set the bar for art direction and visual craft—reviewing executions, giving clear feedback to designers and motion designers, and bringing new references from design, fashion, culture, interiors, photography and film into the work.
What you need to succeed:
- 7+ years in art direction or creative roles across brand campaigns, content and commercially driven work—agency or in-house; lifestyle, fashion, interiors, retail or DTC brands preferred.
- A strong portfolio showing range across campaign concepts, photography, film and multi-channel executions, with clear evidence of your own creative point of view.
- Proven ability to lead the visual direction of a campaign or launch from initial concept through to final execution with minimal oversight.
- Strong understanding of photography and film—lighting, composition, casting, styling, set design and production.
- Strong conceptual thinking—able to move from an audience or cultural insight into a compelling visual idea, not just an aesthetic.
- Experience developing campaign systems that flex across channels, formats, products and markets while remaining cohesive, working closely with production partners, designers and motion designers.
- Ability to balance brand-building work with commercial and conversion-focused objectives, with strong presentation skills to explain and defend creative decisions.
- Experience across global or multi-market brands strongly preferred (bonus: creator or talent-led collaborations, retail environments, or integrated brand campaigns).

About this role
Castlery is seeking a Lead Art Director to own the visual identity of the brand across campaigns, content, and key launches. You'll develop distinctive creative concepts that translate business goals and audience insights into compelling visual worlds, then art direct shoots and build scalable systems that maintain brand consistency across photography, film, social, digital and retail—all while balancing brand-building with commercial objectives. This means working upstream with copywriters and strategists to set direction, then partnering closely with photographers, directors, designers, motion teams and regional stakeholders through production and execution.
The role demands seven or more years in art direction or creative leadership, ideally from lifestyle, fashion, interiors or DTC brands. You'll need a strong portfolio demonstrating range across campaign concepts and multi-channel work, with a clear creative point of view. Beyond aesthetic sensibility, you should think conceptually—moving from cultural or audience insight to visual ideas—and have hands-on knowledge of photography, film, casting, styling and production. Experience scaling campaigns across global markets and formats is strongly preferred, as is the ability to present and defend creative decisions to senior stakeholders.
This is a full-time, in-office role in Singapore Central. It suits someone ready to lead visual strategy at a brand scale, with the craft skills to execute and the strategic thinking to balance beauty with conversion.
