About this role
Picnic is seeking a Distribution Area Lead to oversee operational performance across multiple Hub locations in the Limburg region, managing the final stage of their grocery delivery network. You'll coach Hub Leads and their teams of Runners while driving improvements in safety, efficiency, customer experience, and team well-being across sites ranging from 1,500–2,000 m². This is a hands-on role that requires frequent on-site visits, data-driven problem-solving, and the ability to scale operations as the company grows.
The ideal candidate has 3–6 years of leadership experience, ideally in logistics, e-commerce, or hospitality, with fluency in Dutch and English. You'll need strong coaching skills, a process-oriented mindset, and the analytical ability to translate performance insights into concrete action. A valid driver's license is essential given the travel requirements between Hubs. This hybrid role suits someone with an entrepreneurial approach who thrives in fast-paced environments and is genuinely motivated by operational excellence and team development.
Picnic offers competitive perks including 25 holidays, a leasecar, pension plan, health insurance discount, bike plan, and access to learning and development programs through Lepaya and OpenUp. Fresh lunches and snacks are available at their offices.
