This role functions as the corporate paralegal for the Asia Pacific team based out of Singapore.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting lawyers in drafting and editing agreements for management and franchise deals, amendments to agreements, assignments and related documents
- Supporting the execution of agreements including proofreading, and arranging for powers of attorneys and signing
- Preparing and filing closing documentation and contract summaries
- Tracking of legal documents and maintaining legal databases
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
- Diploma in legal studies or a relevant degree
- At least 4 years of relevant work experience in a law firm or law department
Skills and Competencies
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong user skills across common platforms (Microsoft Office, Serengeti)
- Able to collaborate well with others on the team and across different teams
- Strong communication skills (written/verbal)
- Able to perform well under pressure and confident to work with minimal supervision
