This role sits between business and engineering teams, requiring you to make pragmatic technical decisions, conduct design and code reviews, define engineering standards, and ensure solutions meet security, performance, and reliability requirements across cloud, on-premise, and hybrid environments.
The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of software engineering experience with demonstrated technical leadership, strong hands-on development skills, and deep knowledge of modern architecture patterns including APIs, microservices, and event-driven design. You'll need solid data fundamentals covering data modelling, ETL/ELT, and data pipelines, plus experience with cloud platforms, relational and NoSQL databases, and DevOps practices. Experience with technologies like Kafka, Spark, Databricks, or Snowflake is valued, as is familiarity with containerization and cloud-native approaches.
