About Nimble

Nimble is an AI robotics company building the autonomous supply chain to power fast, efficient and economical commerce. We’re training robot AGI to power a proprietary generalist supply chain superhumanoid, the first robot in the world capable of performing thousands of tasks across the supply chain. We’ve raised over $220M at over $1B valuation and formed a strategic alliance with FedEx to build a national network of autonomous warehouses capable of generating many billions in annual revenue. We are a hardcore and obsessed team of the world’s best engineers and operators. If you are obsessed with your craft, enjoy a high-intensity and fast moving high impact environment, are super high agency in getting hard things done and want to be part of building the world’s most legendary robotics company at the most pivotal moment in history, we want to work with you.

We are on a mission to empower and inspire mankind to accomplish legendary feats by inventing robots that liberate us from the menial. We will accomplish this by training robot AGI to invent and build the Autonomous Supply Chain – everything from the inside of factories and warehouses to your front door – powered by generalist superhumanoids.

Our founding team comes from the AI labs at Stanford and Carnegie Mellon and our board of directors include famed robotics and AI legends including Fei-Fei Li (Chief Scientist of AI at Google and Director of Stanford’s AI Lab), Marc Raibert (founder of Boston Dynamics), and Sebastian Thrun (founder of GoogleX, Waymo; Stanford Professor and considered the father of autonomous vehicles).

Let’s be legendary.

Why Join Nimble?
At Nimble, we are committed to building legendary products, a legendary team, and a legendary legacy. Join us and become part of an ambitious, humble, and resourceful culture where your work will leave a lasting impact on the future of robotics and commerce.

Nimble's Core Values:
Be relentlessly resourceful - Challenge conventions and overcome obstacles.
Be legendary - Be the very best and do work that inspires.
Be humble - Prioritize growth, learning, and doing whatever is needed to further the mission.
Be dependable - Take ownership and deliver with high agency.

What to Expect:

Nimble's Business Operations team is embedded in daily operations, supporting both near-term execution and long-term planning through financial analysis and broader business decision-making and strategy. The team is lean and dynamic, supporting all functions at Nimble: engineering and supply chain, manufacturing, fulfillment operations, service, construction, and sales.

A lot of that work now runs on tools we build ourselves, including capacity planning, customer forecasting, pricing, billing, reporting, candidate sourcing and launch tracking for new warehouses. We build them with AI coding agents like Claude Code, which lets a small team move quickly. This role is for someone who wants to do business operations work and also build the tools behind it.

As an Associate, Business Operations (AI Tooling), you will:

    • Work with non-engineering teams across Nimble (operations, finance, sales, supply chain, recruiting, HR and others) to find manual, repetitive work and replace it with tools
    • Build and maintain internal tools for capacity planning, customer forecasting, pricing, billing, candidate sourcing and KPI reporting
    • Build Slack bots and assistants that answer questions using our warehouse, robot and financial data
    • Support your tools after launch: fix issues, help users, and follow up on whether they're being used
    • Help the rest of the team get more out of AI coding tools, including our shared Claude Code setup and documentation
    • Define and monitor KPIs and keep the data behind them accurate
    • Make sure anything that touches billing, customer or employee data, or production systems, has the right review and approvals
    • Analyze data and bring recommendations to leadership

Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science preferred; Mathematics, Engineering or a related technical field also considered
    • 1-3 years of experience in software engineering, data/analytics, solutions engineering, or a technical business operations role
    • Understanding of how software is structured (data types, functions, APIs, databases, version control); comfortable using AI agents to write code, and comfortable with REST APIs, Git and the command line
    • Examples of projects you've built with AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor or Codex
    • Familiarity with LLM APIs (prompting, tool calling, structured outputs)
    • Strong analytical skills and good business judgment
    • Strong written and verbal communication, including explaining technical topics to operations teams and executives
    • Evidence of exceptional ability, especially in an ambiguous environment
    • Creative, intellectually curious, and able to scale steep learning curves quickly

Value-added experience

    • Building Slack bots, MCP servers or other tools used by a team
    • Web development and deployment (e.g. FastAPI, Postgres, React/TypeScript, Docker)
    • Databricks, dbt, or BI tools such as Sigma
    • Supply chain, warehousing, logistics or other hard-tech operations
    • Internship or early experience in consulting, banking or business operations
    • A GitHub profile or personal projects

Additional Requirements

    • Travel to our warehouses in Texas and New Jersey a few times a year
    • Willing to work extended hours as needed
$120,000 - $160,000 a year
The above range is the base salary range. You will also receive generous equity for this position!

About this role

Nimble Robotics is looking for someone who can operate at the intersection of business operations and software development. In this role, you'd work across the company—from operations and finance to supply chain and recruiting—identifying manual, repetitive work and building AI-powered tools to replace it. You'd own projects like capacity planning systems, customer forecasting tools, Slack bots, and KPI dashboards, using AI coding agents to move quickly with a lean team.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in software engineering, data analytics, solutions engineering, or technical business operations, with hands-on experience building with AI coding tools like Claude Code or Cursor. You should be comfortable with APIs, Git, the command line, and LLM fundamentals. Beyond the technical foundation, this role demands strong business judgment, analytical rigor, and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. You'll also own the full lifecycle of your tools—launching them, supporting users, monitoring adoption, and ensuring proper governance around billing and production systems.

This is a full-time, in-office position in San Francisco with a base salary of $120,000–$160,000 plus equity. The role requires occasional travel to warehouses in Texas and New Jersey, and willingness to work extended hours when needed. It's suited for someone energized by ambiguity, capable of learning quickly, and genuinely interested in both building software and solving real operational problems at a high-growth robotics company.
