About this role
MedElite Group and Infinite Medical P.C. are seeking a Cardiology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a part-time role (two days weekly) based in Houston. You would provide direct cardiovascular care to residents in skilled nursing and long-term care facilities, performing patient assessments, diagnostic procedures like EKGs and stress tests, and collaborating with cardiologists to manage treatment plans. The work includes medication administration, patient and family education on cardiac health, and coordination with interdisciplinary care teams—all while maintaining compliance with CMS regulations and documentation standards.
This position requires a Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited NP program, an active unrestricted license (NP, PA, or Physician), DEA licensure, and current BLS/BCLS certification. You'll need a minimum of six months' experience in long-term or skilled nursing facilities. While cardiology experience is preferred, training is provided; the same applies to EMR systems like Sigma or Visual. Strong organizational skills and comfort with physical demands—prolonged standing, occasional lifting up to 20 pounds, and patient mobility assistance—are essential.
The role offers competitive compensation between $60,000 and $90,000 annually, paid time off, and malpractice insurance coverage. It's suited for a clinician seeking meaningful work with seniors in a collaborative environment while maintaining part-time flexibility.
