Fleet Data Centers is seeking a Senior Architect to lead the design and delivery of massive data center campuses—projects of 500MW and beyond serving the world's largest cloud and AI infrastructure customers. You would own the full lifecycle from site masterplanning through construction oversight, collaborating across electrical, mechanical, structural, network, and operations teams to ensure designs are efficient, sustainable, compliant, and operationally sound. This is a hands-on technical leadership role where you'll set architectural standards across multiple global regions while serving as the primary decision-maker on all systems-related matters.
The ideal candidate brings 10+ years in architecture with at least 8 years specifically in data center design and operations, plus deep expertise in sustainability, energy efficiency, and cost optimization. You'll need fluency in design software like AutoCAD and Revit, a strong grasp of civil and structural engineering, and the ability to navigate complex local, state, and federal regulations across different markets. A professional architectural license is preferred, as is familiarity with hyperscaler requirements from AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or Meta.
Beyond technical chops, you'll need to influence stakeholders across engineering and operations, translate complex concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences, and thrive managing multiple large-scale projects under tight deadlines.
