About this role

AQR's Compliance Department is building data infrastructure to support regulatory operations and monitoring at a quantitative investment firm. This role bridges compliance and engineering: you'll design and build analytics pipelines, write functional specifications for compliance solutions, and work hands-on with SQL, Python, and data visualization tools. You'll partner with software engineers and compliance professionals to integrate new platforms, improve existing systems, and translate complex regulatory requirements into working applications.

The ideal candidate has three to six years in investment management, strong technical skills in data tools and languages, and familiarity with buy-side compliance systems, trading surveillance, or regulatory reporting platforms. You should be comfortable working with large datasets and complex systems, understand financial instruments and investment products, and have the analytical mindset to solve real business problems. Experience with business analysis, data science workflows, or AI/ML tools is valued, though not required.

This is an in-office role in Greenwich paying $125,000 to $150,000 annually, plus discretionary bonus and standard benefits. It suits someone who wants to apply technical skills to compliance and regulatory challenges within a collaborative, research-driven firm that values continuous learning and process improvement.
