About this role
Nexaminds is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design and operate change data capture pipelines at scale. You'll work primarily with Debezium, Kafka, and Azure Event Hubs to stream data from hundreds of source databases into Databricks, handling the full lifecycle from pipeline architecture through production troubleshooting. This role demands deep expertise in CDC operations, SQL, data modeling, and the ability to diagnose complex issues like schema drift and replication lag across a large, distributed data estate.
You'll need at least five years as a data engineer with hands-on production experience building CDC pipelines. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential, as you'll partner with backend and data teams to define schemas, SLAs, and quality standards. Familiarity with Databricks (particularly Lakeflow CDC), Azure data services, and infrastructure-as-code practices would strengthen your candidacy, though the core requirement is proven competency with the core streaming and CDC technologies.
The position is fully remote and based in Mexico, offering stock options, flexible hours, and a collaborative environment with mentorship opportunities. This is a full-time role suited to someone who thrives operating complex data infrastructure and wants to work on AI-driven solutions at a growing company.
