About this role
Harper Group is bringing on a senior visual merchandiser for contract work centered on tradeshow execution in Atlanta. This is a project-based role with two key windows—mid-December and early January—running 9 AM to 6 PM daily, with occasional weekend hours. The work demands someone with 10–15+ years of visual merchandising experience, particularly in gift, accessory, or specialty retail, who can operate independently and deliver polished displays that drive engagement and sales.
You'll own the full execution: designing compelling product groupings and seasonal themes, strategizing lighting and layout to guide customer behavior, and maintaining consistent visual standards across installations. The role requires hands-on capability—you'll be lifting display components, using hand and power tools, working from ladders, and managing inventory during setup. This is physical work that calls for stamina and comfort with the practical side of merchandising, not just the creative vision.
The ideal candidate thinks strategically in fast-paced conditions, makes confident decisions, and has a genuine passion for visual storytelling at the wholesale and tradeshow level. Local Atlanta presence is essential, and a portfolio of past gift and accessory work is preferred. The contract pays $35–40 per hour.
