Company Overview

Ambiq is on a mission to enable intelligence everywhere — powering the AI edge revolution with the world's lowest-power semiconductor solutions.

Built on our proprietary sub- and near-threshold technology, our chips deliver multi-fold improvements in energy efficiency without costly process scaling. Since 2010, we've shipped over 300 million units to customers building smarter wearables, medical devices, IoT products, and AI-powered edge applications.

Our cross-functional teams span design, research, development, production, marketing, sales, and operations across Austin, Hsinchu, Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Singapore. We move fast, tackle hard problems, and create space for people to grow through complex, meaningful work that shapes the future of technology.

We're looking for self-motivated, creative problem-solvers who are eager to push technological limits and make a real impact in energy efficiency.

About this role

Ambiq is seeking a Design Verification Intern to work on-site in Singapore, supporting the verification of complex digital systems built on the company's energy-efficient semiconductor technology. You'll own verification tasks across multiple levels—from individual logic blocks through full system-on-chip—working with designs that include CPUs, signal processors, and security hardware for IoT and edge AI applications. The role demands hands-on technical work: developing test plans, building scalable test benches in SystemVerilog and UVM, creating comprehensive test cases and stimulus generation, automating randomized testing environments, and performing root-cause analysis on identified issues.

Success in this position requires a strong foundation in digital design fundamentals. You should be currently pursuing a degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering with coursework covering Verilog/SystemVerilog, at least one scripting language (Python, Perl, Tcl, or C/C++), and familiarity with AMBA protocols. Comfort in Linux/UNIX environments and experience with edge-based AI inference are valued. Beyond technical skills, Ambiq looks for self-starters with solid analytical and debugging abilities, strong communication, and a collaborative approach—someone who takes full ownership of assigned work and delivers quality results that meet industry standards.
