About this role

At The Ritz-Carlton's New Zealand property, this Director role puts you in charge of the entire food and beverage operation—restaurants, bars, room service, and banquets. You'll set the strategic direction for the department, manage its financial performance against budget, and ensure the operation consistently delivers the brand's service standards. This is a full P&L responsibility where you'll balance revenue growth and profitability with maintaining the guest experience and employee satisfaction that define the Ritz-Carlton.

The position demands at least five years of experience leading F&B teams, with a strong preference for venue opening experience. You'll need solid financial acumen to develop budgets, monitor cash and liquor controls, and make capital expenditure recommendations. Beyond the numbers, you'll lead through influence—building trust with your leadership team, identifying their development needs, staying alert to market trends, and driving operational improvements that create competitive advantage.

Success here requires you to wear multiple hats: strategic business leader, financial steward, team builder, and service champion. You'll spend significant time reviewing performance data, coaching your team through challenges, and ensuring guest feedback translates into action. Full working rights for New Zealand are required.
