About this role
Emerson Electric's Tool Room Manufacturing Engineer role centers on managing the tool room operation at their Nuevo León facility, with a focus on supporting production and maintenance through cutting tool expertise and fixture design. You'll be responsible for the full lifecycle of cutting tools—from technical support to the tool crib through testing, implementation, and disposal—while also designing and fabricating custom fixtures, jigs, and clamping systems to meet plant and customer specifications. The position requires hands-on involvement in tool assembly, CNC machining, and design reviews, alongside driving continuous improvement projects and maintaining 5S standards in the department.
This is a technical role that demands solid engineering fundamentals in mechanical or manufacturing disciplines, combined with practical CAD skills in SolidWorks and knowledge of CNC machining and metal fabrication processes. You'll need intermediate English for communication, intermediate Office and Oracle proficiency, and the ability to lead and coordinate across multiple plant areas. Experience with problem-solving methodologies like 8D and 5W is valued. The role suits someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, takes ownership of process improvement, and can balance supporting day-to-day operations with strategic projects to reduce costs and enhance efficiency.
