About this role

Morgan & Morgan's Case Manager in Training role offers a structured entry point into personal injury law firm operations. You'll work as a floater across the Chicago office, rotating through different attorneys and case staff to learn the full scope of case management work. Your day-to-day will involve shadowing experienced Case Managers, ordering medical records, assembling demand packages for insurance carriers, investigating case facts, negotiating medical balance deductions with providers, and preparing settlement documentation—all under attorney supervision. This is explicitly a training position designed to prepare you for promotion into a permanent Case Manager role.

The position calls for a high school diploma or GED and one to two years of administrative, insurance adjustment, or legal support experience, ideally in a law firm or corporate legal setting. You'll need strong organizational skills, the ability to juggle multiple priorities, solid written and verbal communication abilities, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and databases at a minimum typing speed of 35 wpm. The role is hybrid but requires in-office presence; remote work is not an option. At $23 per hour, full-time employees receive medical and dental insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and paid holidays.

This role suits someone with foundational administrative or legal support experience who is ready to deepen their knowledge of case management within a consumer rights-focused firm and is committed to working on-site in Chicago.
