About this role
Accenture Federal Services is looking for someone to manage project accounting operations within its Controllership organization, specifically handling contract interpretation and system setup for federal government work. You'd spend significant time reading and understanding government contracts (FFP, T&M, and Cost Type arrangements), then translating those terms into proper configurations within Deltek Costpoint. The role also involves using ServiceNow to manage project setup requests and coordinating with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure contracts are set up correctly and compliantly.
Beyond individual execution, you'd supervise a team of project setup analysts—training them on processes, reviewing their work before it goes live in the accounting system, and providing ongoing feedback. You'd also track metrics on how the project setup function is performing and report results to leadership. This is an in-office position in San Antonio requiring US citizenship and a contract employment arrangement.
The ideal candidate has 2–3 years interpreting government contracts and 1–2 years working with Deltek Costpoint in a federal contractor environment. You should be comfortable with GAAP, CAS, and FAR requirements, have strong communication and organizational skills, and ideally bring supervisory experience and a bachelor's degree. The salary range is $74,300–$147,900 depending on location and experience.
