About this role

At CBIZ's Boston office, this role combines client advisory work with team leadership in forensic accounting and litigation services. You'll serve as a trusted advisor to clients, identifying issues and communicating solutions while managing staff through engagement deliverables—financial statements, tax returns, work papers—and conducting quality reviews to meet firm standards. The position requires balancing technical expertise with business development; you'll participate in client meetings and proposal work alongside upper management, manage multiple client relationships and budgets, and take responsibility for billing and realization on your accounts.

The role demands both depth and breadth: you need strong technical accounting knowledge, familiarity with industry trends, and the ability to understand each client's organization and procedures. You'll also supervise and mentor staff, develop new business opportunities, and meet individual charge hour goals. Travel is expected based on client needs.

To qualify, you'll need a bachelor's degree in accounting or related field, an active CPA or equivalent certification, and at least five years of public accounting experience plus three years in a supervisory role. A master's degree is preferred. Success here requires strong communication skills at all organizational levels, proficiency with relevant technology, and the ability to manage all aspects of client engagements from start to finish.
