About this role
Certified Group operates a network of specialized laboratories serving regulated industries like food safety, cannabis testing, and dietary supplements across North America and Europe. As a Courier, you'd be the critical link between their customers and lab facilities, responsible for safely transporting food and environmental samples while maintaining strict chain-of-custody protocols. The role demands reliability and attention to detail—samples must arrive on time and in proper condition, and you'll document everything from pickup to delivery using the company's mobile app.
Your day-to-day work involves operating a company vehicle, coordinating with laboratory staff on sample priorities, photographing warehouse or freezer samples for FDA compliance, and providing professional service to customers at each stop. You'll use GPS navigation and mobile technology to manage routes and communicate with dispatch, so comfort with smartphones and apps is essential. The schedule runs Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 9am to 6pm, with Wednesdays and Sundays off.
This contract position suits someone with at least two years of courier or delivery experience, a clean driving record, and a valid driver's license. While a high school diploma is the baseline requirement, any familiarity with lab operations or safety procedures is a plus. The starting rate is $19 per hour.
