About this role
AQR Capital Management's Compliance Department is hiring an Associate or Vice President to oversee adherence to investment regulations across registered funds, client accounts, and internal trading operations. You'd monitor compliance with the Investment Company Act, Investment Advisers Act, and UCITS regulations while working closely with portfolio managers and traders to ensure their strategies and trades stay within guidelines. The role involves drafting and refining compliance policies, implementing real-time monitoring systems to catch issues early, and advising research and trading teams on regulatory requirements across equities, fixed income, derivatives, and alternative strategies.
The position requires three to six years of investment or trading compliance experience and a solid grasp of guideline monitoring platforms like Bloomberg, Aladdin, or Charles River. You should understand multiple asset classes and derivatives, be comfortable interpreting complex regulations, and have the judgment to communicate compliance requirements clearly to non-compliance colleagues. A CFA, CAIA, or FRM credential is valued but not required.
This is an in-office role in Greenwich, Connecticut, with a salary of $150,000 to $175,000 plus an annual discretionary bonus. The work suits someone detail-oriented and organized who thrives in a collaborative, intellectually demanding environment and can manage competing priorities without losing sight of regulatory obligations.
