About this role
Acturhire (a WTW company) is seeking a Senior Analyst for its Property & Casualty actuarial consulting practice in Hartford, Connecticut. This hybrid role sits at the intersection of data analysis and client service, requiring someone with a quantitative foundation—typically an undergraduate degree in actuarial science, statistics, or a related field—and two to five years of hands-on actuarial experience. You'll work on client engagements that demand strong analytical thinking, drawing conclusions from data and identifying trends in a systematic way, supported by proficiency in Excel and familiarity with modern AI tools.
The position suits someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can operate both independently and collaboratively within client teams. Beyond core Excel competency, knowledge of specialized actuarial software (Emblem, Python, R, Radar Base, ResQ, Igloo) is valued, though not required to start. You'll need excellent communication skills—both written and oral—along with a detail-oriented mindset and genuine commitment to client service and ethical practice. Progress toward ACAS or FCAS credentials is preferred.
Compensation ranges from $80,000 to $120,000 annually, with eligibility for a short-term incentive bonus. WTW offers comprehensive benefits including health coverage, retirement plans with company contributions, paid time off, and various work-life support resources. The role does not offer visa sponsorship. Preferred locations include Hartford, Boston, Philadelphia, New York, Chicago, and Columbus.
