About this role
DTCC's Information Technology group is seeking a Data Science Associate to develop and implement quantitative models that support risk management and decision-making across global capital markets infrastructure. You'll work on the full lifecycle of model development—from extracting and cleaning financial data through building data pipelines, performing statistical and machine learning analysis, and translating theoretical models into production code using Python. The role also involves backtesting, validation, and optimization to ensure models perform reliably as market conditions evolve.
This position suits someone with at least two years of related experience and strong Python or R skills, ideally paired with knowledge of capital markets, financial instruments, and statistical or machine learning methods. You'll need to balance technical depth with communication ability, since you'll translate complex quantitative work for both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders. The role is based in Hyderabad and requires in-office presence, with collaboration across quantitative analysts and IT teams to integrate models into live systems.
