About this role

At The Ritz-Carlton's Singapore property, the Director of Finance serves as the strategic financial leader responsible for translating brand service strategy into financial reality. You would develop and execute comprehensive business plans aligned with both property and corporate objectives, managing everything from annual budgeting and financial forecasting to cost analysis and profit optimization. This role demands strong analytical capability—breaking down complex financial data, monitoring actual performance against projections, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and advising the General Manager and executive team on financial and operational issues as they emerge.

Leading a finance team is central to the position. You would hire, develop, and manage direct reports, conduct performance reviews, and ensure the team maintains rigorous accounting controls and audit compliance. Equally important is stakeholder management: you'll communicate regularly with owners to understand their priorities, translate financial concepts for non-finance audiences, and manage working capital and cash flow according to brand standards and owner requirements.

The role requires either a bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting with three years of relevant professional experience, or a master's degree with one year of experience. Success depends on combining technical financial expertise with leadership presence, clear communication, and the ability to influence executive-level decision-making in a luxury hospitality environment.
