About this role
The Ritz-Carlton in Mexico City is seeking a Communications Technician to manage the hotel's technology infrastructure and support systems. You would handle the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of IT equipment, telephone systems, and guest room internet access, while also overseeing inventory of technology devices and recommending process improvements to enhance reliability and performance. The role requires hands-on problem-solving for both routine and non-routine technical issues, along with strict security protocols—including managing restricted access to computer and telephone rooms.
Beyond the technical work, this position carries responsibility for upholding Ritz-Carlton service standards. You'll interact with guests, support colleagues in meeting departmental goals, and serve as a role model for company policies and safety practices. The job involves physical tasks such as moving equipment under 10 pounds, data entry, and visual inspection of systems. At least one year of related technical experience is preferred, though no formal certification or supervisory background is required.
This is a full-time, in-office role suited to someone with foundational IT and telecommunications skills who is comfortable working in a hospitality environment where guest service and operational excellence are equally valued.
