About this role

The Ritz-Carlton in Mexico City is seeking an Engineering Operator to handle the full range of maintenance and repair work that keeps a luxury hotel functioning smoothly. You'll respond to guest requests for repairs, perform preventive maintenance on equipment throughout the property, and troubleshoot issues across multiple systems—from plumbing and electrical to HVAC, kitchen equipment, and building controls. The role demands hands-on technical versatility: you might unclog a drain, replace light fixtures, paint interior spaces, repair landscaping systems, or adjust air handler schedules on any given day.

This position suits someone with a practical maintenance background and willingness to learn across disciplines. While a high school diploma and valid driver's license are required, prior experience in hotel engineering or general maintenance is preferred but not mandatory. You'll need basic computer skills, the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly, and comfort working at heights and in various physical positions. Safety protocols—including Lockout/Tagout procedures—are central to the work.

Beyond technical duties, the role emphasizes service standards consistent with Ritz-Carlton expectations: you'll interact professionally with guests, maintain confidentiality, and collaborate effectively with other departments and shifts. This is a full-time, in-office position in Mexico City that combines technical problem-solving with the hospitality mindset the brand demands.
