About this role
Marriott International's Strategy Planning & Consulting internship places you within the corporate transactions team supporting brand launches and portfolio conversions across Asia Pacific. Over six months, you'll move beyond typical hotel operations exposure to work on strategic initiatives—preparing competitive analyses, building pitch decks, and contributing to case studies that inform how new brands enter the market. This is consulting-adjacent work at scale, giving you insight into how a global hospitality leader approaches business development and market entry.
The role suits someone with prior internship experience in hotel management, consulting, or real estate who combines analytical rigor with creative problem-solving. You'll need strong Excel and PowerPoint skills to compile data and present findings, but equally important are the softer qualities: conscientiousness, proactivity, and the ability to work independently on ad hoc projects while staying detail-oriented. Mentorship from experienced strategists is built in, and your contributions will directly influence brand launch decisions rather than sit in a filing cabinet.
If you're an undergraduate in Business Management or Hospitality looking to understand corporate-level strategy within hospitality before graduation, and you're comfortable working in-office in Singapore for a structured six-month program, this offers genuine exposure to the consulting side of a major industry player.
