About this role

At The Ritz-Carlton's Phoenix property, this seasonal role puts you in character as Mrs. Claus to lead and perform in themed shows for guests. You'll work from a basic script while improvising as needed, potentially incorporating dance and singing. Beyond performing, you'll recruit and schedule guests for activities, host live events, provide facility tours, and create an energized, welcoming atmosphere. The work demands sustained physical stamina—you'll spend extended periods standing and performing inside a bulky costume, often in front of large groups including children, while maintaining specific size and weight requirements tied to the costume itself.

The ideal candidate has previous entertainment or acting experience, ideally with exposure to performing for children and large audiences. You'll need current CPR and First Aid certifications, a high school diploma or equivalent, and at least one year of customer or sales experience. Beyond performance skills, the role requires strong guest service instincts, the ability to work comfortably in crowds and confined spaces, and physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds and navigate varied terrain. This is a full-time seasonal position suited to someone genuinely comfortable performing in character for extended periods and engaging diverse audiences in a hospitality setting.
