About this role
Marriott International's Area Operations internship places you within the corporate side of hotel management across Singapore and the Maldives region. Over six months, you'll move beyond classroom theory into real operational work—conducting market research, visiting properties, supporting pre-opening initiatives, and owning projects tied to guest satisfaction and hotel performance. The role balances analytical work (Excel, Tableau, data coordination) with stakeholder management, requiring you to pull information from multiple teams and present findings clearly through PowerPoint decks.
This internship suits someone organized and detail-oriented who can work independently while staying flexible as priorities shift. You'll need strong English communication, solid Microsoft Office skills, and genuine interest in hospitality operations from a corporate perspective. The program emphasizes learning and mentorship, so expect coaching from your supervisor alongside real project ownership—not just administrative tasks.
You must be an undergraduate in Hospitality Management from a recognized institution in Singapore, Australia, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand, Switzerland, the UK, or US, and hold Singapore citizenship, permanent residency, or an eligible student or work holiday pass. The commitment is full-time, in-office in Singapore, for the full six-month period from January to June 2027.
