About this role

Picnic is looking for a Team Leader (called a Captain) to manage a small team of Shoppers at their Geldermalsen distribution center. You'd be responsible for day-to-day people leadership—coaching and motivating 6-8 team members, fostering a positive work environment, supporting their development, and giving regular feedback. Beyond the people side, you'd also own safety, quality, cleanliness, and productivity targets, working closely with Supervisors and other Captains to hit daily goals.

This role suits someone who genuinely enjoys helping colleagues develop and who's comfortable taking ownership of their area. You'll need at least six months of prior experience at Picnic, fluency in English, and availability for either the early shift (05:45-15:00) or late shift (15:45-01:00) on a fixed weekly schedule, including at least one weekend day. The position is full-time (minimum 32 hours) and based in-office. Picnic offers a starting salary of €18.64 gross per hour (including 8% holiday pay), 25 vacation days annually, free meals, pension contributions, and a travel allowance if you live more than 10 km away.
