About this role

At The Ritz-Carlton's Guadalajara property, the Reception Agent role centers on orchestrating the guest arrival and departure experience while managing the financial and operational details that keep the front desk running smoothly. You'll handle check-ins and check-outs, process multiple payment methods, manage room assignments in coordination with Housekeeping, and respond to guest calls and requests throughout their stay. The position also involves cash handling—counting your bank at shift start and end, balancing receipts, and cashing personal and traveler's checks according to Accounting procedures.

Beyond transactions, this is fundamentally a guest-facing role that requires you to welcome guests warmly, provide local information and directions, communicate parking procedures, and address concerns with professionalism and genuine care. You'll need to stay organized while running daily reports, tracking special requests, and maintaining accurate records in the computer system. The work is physical—standing and walking for extended periods—and demands clear communication, attention to detail, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a busy hotel environment.

The role is full-time and in-office at the Guadalajara location. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, and no prior hospitality experience or supervisory background is required, making this accessible to candidates new to the industry who are ready to deliver the service standards Ritz-Carlton is known for.
