About this role
This postdoctoral position at UT Health Science Center in Memphis offers the opportunity to lead independent and collaborative research within a funded departmental portfolio in pediatrics. You would design and execute experiments and studies, manage data collection and analysis, and translate findings into peer-reviewed publications and grant submissions. The role emphasizes both scientific rigor and regulatory compliance, requiring you to navigate IRB/IACUC protocols, biosafety standards, and documentation requirements while maintaining research integrity.
The ideal candidate holds a Ph.D. in a relevant scientific discipline and brings hands-on experience with animal models and flow cytometry—core methodologies for this position. You should have a track record of scholarly output and the analytical skills to interpret complex data. Beyond bench work, you'll contribute to the department's grant strategy, mentor junior staff or students, and communicate findings across multiple formats. Strong compliance knowledge and attention to detail are essential, as is the flexibility to occasionally work weekends when research demands require it.
